The book begins with chapters on the design process, choice of materials and a look at the lore of weaving, followed by practical weaving (the book starts where Thread on Loom leaves off!).
There are lots of craft tips and advice and a comprehensive chapter on rug weaving.
The second half of the book consists of patterns, some of which are very detailed, while others are what we call quality descriptions, i.e. there is information on materials, density and possibly a weave diagram.
The book's 304 pages are filled with many instructive and stimulating illustrations.
