The threads are smooth. We recommend that you use a mat under the rug to prevent it from sliding. Furthermore, the mat will protect the floor from sand that might work its way through the rug. A paper rug does not give off any dust or fibers making it ideal for people suffering from allergies. It is eco-friendly and easy to dispose of; you may burn or compost it.
This rug is quite sturdy and, as it dries quickly, tolerates humidity. Ask us for the weaving instructions.
